Memorial contributions in honor of Steven Foster

Steven Jay Foster passed away on November 4th, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at his son and daughter in laws house on Steve’s birthday, November 11th at 3:00pm.

Steve was born in Plainview, Texas to Benjamin and Helen on November 11th, 1957. After graduating from Abilene Christian University, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Jane Bothun on April 6th 1989.

Steve was an esteemed tennis coach and well known throughout the entire state of Texas for his abilities. He worked for White Settlement ISD for nearly 30 years as a tennis coach and moved onto Texas Wesleyan University following retirement. He put his heart and soul into guiding students of all ages on their tennis journey and fine tuning their abilities. He was considered the best coach in the state out of all coaches and was awarded Coach of the year by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association.

Along with a lifetime of success in his coaching career, Steve raised two beautiful children with his wife Mary. Steve is survived by his wife Mary, his son Benjamin and wife Rebecca along with Steve’s daughter Katy and her husband Peter. He is also survived by his brothers Sammy and Stacey Foster as well his grandson, Oliver.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to cover the memorial service and celebration.
