On 7/24/2020 Steve Garcia (Loco Steve) went to heaven to be with his parents, sister (Cha-Chi) and son (Baby Stevie) after a courageous yet exhausting battle with Covid-19.
Many have reached out asking how they can contribute to his celebration of life. Our family has decided to create this GoFundMe for this reason. After being on life support 4 times in 5 weeks, his children Monique and Valentino received a phone call on July 14th to make a decision on his life. But before they were able to honor their dads wish, Steve became responsive and was able to tell them what his wishes were. We would receive daily updates from the doctor about how great he was doing after coming off of life support. We were all so hopeful he would pull through and be on his way to recovery. On July 24, 2020 at 5:13am, much to our surprise, God called him home to rest.
“Loco” Steve was a great son, brother, father, uncle, friend, fisherman and a true fighter. He will be greatly missed by all of those that were lucky enough to know him. Everyone gravitated around his bigger than life personality, and that is how we prefer to remember his contribution to our lives.
