My Dad passed away August 17th, 2022 from a heart attack.
---
Steve was born and raised in California. He moved from Compton to Inglewood, then to Cerritos, where he resided most of his life. Steve attended Cerritos Elementary, Carmenita Jr. High, and Cerritos High School. After graduating high school, he worked as a Security Guard at USC. While working at USC, he met and married Michelle (Sophia Young) and had five children. Steve attended Cerritos College and El Camino College studying Graphic Arts. He was fond of cars and music, but his greatest love was his family. He aspired to be a police officer but could not due to being a Type I diabetic. He was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 5 and suffered many challenges, but he never complained. Instead, he had an exuberance for life and enjoyed every moment with friends and family. Steve always had the biggest and brightest smile to share, whether in dialysis or while sharing a meal; he sparked with joy and love.
Steve is survived by his loving parents Abe and Connie Williams, his siblings, Sheree Douglas and Daryl "Rick" Williams, and his children, Jessie, Aaron, Keyana, Andrea, and Christopher.

His leaving was unexpected and heartbreaking for us. We wanted to extend the opportunity for people to be able to help. All proceeds will go toward funeral costs, and any remainder will be donated directly to the American Diabetic Association.
