Steven Bernard

This page has been set up in memory of Steven Bernard. The most amazing man. A dedicated husband, father, grandad and friend. A true inspiration and loved dearly by those who knew him. Sadly Dad lost his long fight against Mesothelioma. During his illness he was treated 4 times at St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmund's. These amazing individuals (some of whome are volunteers) work day and night, with endless kindness and compassion. They provided truly fabulous care for Dad and also to our family unit. They are often understaffed and work with sub-standard equipment. The pressure is relentless, yet they never show the strain. We would like donations in order to be able to buy some much needed kit for the Hospice wards. Rather than donate direct to the trust (the money would just get absorbed into the system) We want to raise money to benefit these amazing people directly. I will also be continuing last years fund raising by Competing in the Rat Race 'Dirty Weekender' the largest obstical course in the world. 20 miles.. 200 obsticals.....
