Steven Dauksza graduated UTI in 2010 with a degree in Automotive Technology with Ford Accelerated Credential Training "FACT". Steven was a Diesel Mechanic, and owned his own shop, Doxa’s Diesels. Steven had a smile that would light up a room and an infectious laugh that everyone loved. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and countless friends. He was always willing to help at any time of day or night, and you could always count on him to be there. In memory of Steve, we want to provide a person with the same opportunity to attend the Universal Technical Institute who otherwise can not afford attendance.
The scholarship will be set up through Tech Force Foundation. First, the money raised in Gofundme will be deposited into a bank account. Then, this money will be sent by check to the Tech Force Foundation. From there, the Tech Force Foundation in conjunction with UTI will set up the Steven W Dauksza Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will biannually provide a student with a $2,500 scholarship directly through the schools Bursar's Office. The scholarship will be based on criteria such as the student's Estimated Family Contribution which examines a student's financial need, and their GPA as by the school's policy. So far the funds raised will provide two scholarships per year for the next three years. We hope to continue raising funds to allow the life of this scholarship to exceed the initial three years.
