- Hi my name is Kathy York, I am one of Steve's (Dad's) six children: four girls, two boys. Rachel, Kerri, Benjamin (Ben), Kathleen (Kathy), Rebecca (Becky) and Sean. Steve (Dad) is also known as Grandpa, Husband, Brother, Son, Cousin, Friend, Neighbor, Veteran and Coworker.... Whatever he is in this life, also as a follower of God and Family, he has also, recently been the receiver of bad news.... Cancer, it is not curable, it is spreading and he is in pain, stressed, worried and there is no relief in sight. We don't know what the next day, week, month, year or years hold for him. But in the meantime, there is a heavy burden of raised rent, no work, higher bills, future medical visits and procedures and more, this will be hard to pay and manage everyday he has remaining in life. We are all trying to come together as family to figure this out and help as best we can. But anything you or someone else can give, would be an extra weight lifting off his and his wife Lisa's shoulders. Lisa (my mom) has been by his side, taking him to the VA hospital and all of his appointments, trying to figure out what comes next. I have been also reaching out to all possible resources for Veterans and thankful for any help. We need help and will forever be thankful for all of you bringing them some peace into this struggle. Be thankful for your loved ones and hold them tight, trust what God has planned for us, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Please message me personally if you would like to ask any questions.
