Steve Vesel Memorial

Hi, I am attaching part of a post from Steve’s brother, Mike, who has been a dear friend of mine for decades. As Mike mentions below, Steve’s passing was sudden and no preparations for his passing were made. We lost our dear friend, Ron in the fall of 2022, and now this. Loss of two great friends and people. Later in Mike’s post, which is not below, he mentions that he and his mom, Judy, both have health issues of their own. To help Mike and Judy, some longtime friends’ of this family are setting up this GoFundMe page to help cover the cost of the cremation, attorney fees, the house where Steve lived, and the many other costs that they will certainly incur in the coming months.

For those of you who do not know this family, you would love them if you did. They are so gracious, fun-loving, and close. For those on Facebook, you probably enjoyed Steve’s throwback clips from the newspaper, his sports updates, his morning updates, or his music polls. He kept in touch with so many via Facebook, including his middle school class reunion group and pre-pandemic Pig night attendees. He was loved by the families he touched on his bus, as was evidenced by all the kind notes and gift cards from parents, all the kids he coached in football, and those who were just lucky to cross his path in any way.
