Many of you may already know, my dad, Steve Swope, took a tumble while working to cut down a tree at their house. With a whole lot of luck and the help of some guardian angels, he is without any head, neck, or spine injuries . He does, however, have a debilitating arm injury along with some smaller injuries that will make his journey very long and trying. He has undergone two surgeries, and if everything goes as it should, there should be just one left. He is being taken great care of at UNMC and from here will likely be taking part in rehabilitation before being able to go home.

So many have asked how they can help and what we need right now, and the truth is, we are just SO thankful he is with us today. My mom will be spending a lot of time away from home and both of them away from work, and the financial burden will be immense. We truly appreciate any support anyone provides, and we will continue to let everyone know if we think of anything else that can help us at this time.
