Steve "Stretch" Lee Cancer Fund

Hi! If you live north of Saginaw then you have probably met or at least heard of Steve "Stretch" Lee!

Stretch was employed by and delivered for Alpena Beverage for over Forty years during which time he made countless friends along his routes.

He and his wife Patti (Gilmet) also made many lifelong friends during their many years of bowling, golfing and enjoying time out in and around the Alpena area.

Also being such a huge sports enthusiast and never content to sit around he is well known for having coached little-league for four years, women's softball for 3 years and served on the board and coached for TBBA for ten years.

Unfortunately in late February, Stretch was found to have both esophageal and liver cancer. Initially, he and Patti were told he would only make it 4-6 weeks without treatment, with treatment however, things sound more promising and there is hope for a much better and longer life.

Choosing to start treatment might seem obvious, unfortunately, it is also expensive. This fundraiser would go toward helping with costs associated with his care and the seemingly insurmountable medical bills.

To sum this up, Stretch is known for being the quintessential "nice guy", always willing to help, that's part of why he has so many friends across the state. That said, this is an opportunity to help him and Patti, they need all the help we can muster during this trying time.

There is also a benefit being held for him at the Alpena VFW Hall from 12pm to 6pm, April 15th, 2023!
