Steve Sloat's brain cancer
Donation protected
There is never a good time or way to deliver such devastating news to the friends and family we hold so dear. It is with a very heavy heart I write this about my husband Steve.
Steve has been struggling with severe headaches that were thought to be caused by a terrible sinus infection. After further testing and completing an MRI, the doctors discovered he in fact had a brain mass. Steve has been diagnosed with a grade IV Glioblastoma brain tumor. He is scheduled for surgery on April 18th to remove the tumor and will immediately begin chemotherapy.
Anyone who knows Steve can attest to his hard-working, kind spirited nature. He is always willing to jump in and lend a helping hand whenever needed. His family and friends have always been the most important part of his life and he now needs our love and support more than ever.
Steve is not working and we are unsure when he will be able to return to work, if at all. The medical bills are substantially increasing and causing a significant burden on him and our family. At this time, we are asking for monetary support donations to help cover some of our out of pocket expenses. Any small amount you can give is greatly appreciated. We also ask for your continued positive thoughts and prayers as our family prepares to go through this most frightening time in our lives.
If you would be kind enough to share this with your extended family and friends, it is our hope, like a prayer circle, spreading this request among as broad an audience as possible will all allow for a large number of people to share their prayers and donations… again from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
