Steve and Shelly are experiencing a very scary, terrible situation. It is with much horror and disbelief that Steve was recently hospitalized and went for emergency surgery due to Necrotizing Fasciitis - otherwise known as Flesh Eating Disease.
Steve is very sick and needs all the prayers he can get.
It came on very suddenly and he had to have the flesh on much of his foot as well as calf removed. He has infection in his body and blood from the dead tissue spreading. He is looking at weeks in the hospital, skin grafts and months to heal completely. It will be a long, tough road to recovery.
Steve and Shelly are highschool sweethearts and have 2 young children. They have never hesitated to help others in any way they could and always go above and beyond.
This unfortunate situation will not only be a physical and emotional hardship but a financial one as well. There will be costs related to being in the hospital- loss of income, parking, food, babysitting and Im sure things we cant forsee.
Im asking that you share this with all of their family and friends and help make this less burdensome for the couple. Please pray for a speedy recovery!!!
