In 2022 something happened to my family that you always think would never happen to you or someone close to you, but unfortunately it did. Dad was diagnosed with cancer of the duodenum. Duodenal cancer is a rare but fast-spreading cancer in your small intestine, or bowel.

After spending a few months admitted into hospital, Dad was finally on the long road to recovery.

Unfortunately the universe had other plans for him. Dad was diagnosed with cancer of the liver earlier this year which has now spread very quickly to his brain.

This unimaginable feeling of losing a parent is completely numbing. Why him? Why anyone?

This fundraiser is dedicated to my Mum.

Any support that can be offered during this painful and difficult time will make the world of difference, but if you aren't in a position to donate please just share it around.

The funds raised will be used to help cover the costs associated with end-of-life expenses to keep Dad feeling as comfortable as possible and any remaining funds will go towards supporting Mum in her time of need.
