Steve Scarborough post stroke rehab recovery fund
Donation protected
For those of you that don't know, my sweet husband Steve Scarborough suffered a stroke on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
He has been hospitalized in the Stroke Center at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He is working through facial droop, slurred speech, limited use of his left arm and hand along with balance issues due to the brain damage from the stroke.
Steve is a fighter and is determined to regain all mentioned above and move forward with is happy life.
As many of you know, Steve is a licensed therapist with a heart of gold. His job depends on being able to speak with his clients to lead them to their own personal healing.
In order for Steve to regain his life and livelihood, he is going to have to undergo rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy.
The problem is when this event happened, we as a family were in between insurance meaning we are uninsured at this time.
The hospital is going to work with us on the hospital bill but the rehab must be paid out of pocket due to us not having insurance. The cost is $375.00 per day for outpatient care.
At this time we are unsure as to how long he will have to attend daily rehab.
We are asking for your help. Dear friends and family, whatever amount you can give will be appreciated and put to good use. Anything from $5.00 to covering a full day of rehab will help.
Please prayerfully consider how you can help Steve at this time. He is such a good man and is eager to step back into the life he had of helping others on a daily basis through his gift of counseling.
