ABOUT STEVE ROURKE
This scholarship is in memoriam of Steve Rourke (1959 - 2010), who was a devoted father, passionately dedicated to his daughter Breanne's career in music.
Steve was an innovative engineer, as the Director of Engineering at General Motors for nearly 30 years. He was the founding mentor of FIRST Robotics Team 1114, and was an executive sponsor for teams 1114, 1503, and 1680. Through his vision and execution, every elementary and secondary school in the District School Board of Niagara now has a robotics kit. He was a role model to many, and Breanne is thrilled to honour his legacy through this scholarship, as she takes on the role of mentoring her music students.
