Steve Ridge lost his home in upper lansdowne

Hi my name is Margie, on the 14th of December Steve Ridge, our friend, neighbour and long time valley resident came home to find his uninsured home alight. He watched it burn to the ground in front of his eyes despite the best efforts of firefighters. Steve had built this home virtually single-handedly. All his best efforts to protect his home from external bush fire damage were to no avail when the intense storm on Thursday night caused the house to catch fire. He has lost everything - his beloved dog Charlie bear, his shed, tools, machinery, all his worldly possessions. He literally has the clothes on his back. Can anyone in this generous supportive valley and beyond dig deep and contribute what we can to help Steve get back on his feet. It is of course, a financially stressful time of the year for a lot of people but let's help Steve at least get a roof over his head
