Steve Richburg's Retirement Gift
Donation protected
I have the privilege of organizing Steve's retirement gig and gift. Steve has worked for BC Wildfire Service for over 40 years in one capacity or another. Starting out as a Look-Out person on One-Eye Mountain back in the late 70's I believe, spent many years out at Anaheim Lake as a Wildfire Assistant, then Alexis Creek, Quesnel and ending his illustrious career in Williams Lake. For those that have met Steve, you realize real fast how much he cares about the people he works with and the public that are being impacted by wildfires. Steve absolutely wears his heart on his sleeve. Steve has been a mentor and supervisor to myself and many others over his time. He is the proud recipient of the Awards of Excellence for Mentorship back in 2015 I believe. He was recognized by an American IMT back in the day for his hard work on a deployment down south. Steve loves his job and loves to help people. He is one of the kindest person's I have ever had the privilege of working with.
The goal of this fundraiser is show our love for Steve and send him on a trip to a music concert/experience. Steve has been a music and concert fan since he was able to walk I believe. The stories he has about concerts could fill a book. I would love to send him on another journey.
Thanks everyone for your support.
