Help Steve replace accidently broken camera lens

As most of my followers know the photography I carry out is primarily at Charity and local events and is totally unpaid as it’s a passion of mine to assist others in whichever way possible. However at one such Charity event on 28th June 2025 somehow one camera became unattached from the strap and hence hitting the floor very hard and snapping the lens in 2 pieces.

why is not insured I hear well as a hobbyist photographer you never think of this.

its a key lens in my collection and without it I will very likely end up giving up the work I love and enjoy.

I know it’s a huge huge ask but if anyone would be willing to support in any way it really would be very much appreciated.

A new lens of the same quality and brand new is in excess of £1000 which obviously I’ve self funded to now so thought I’d reach out for help to help me to continue supporting the local events/charities the way I have been
