Steve Rankin Recovery and Rehab Support
At the end of January 2021, on his 54th birthday, our friend Steve Rankin suffered a stroke. He is currently (Feb 2021) in the hospital recovering, but is facing in-patient rehab that could take months, followed by long term recovery at home that could last 6 months or more.
Steve was the sole source of income for his family and as a result of the stroke has lost his job with the construction company he worked for. His wife Kimberly is disabled and unable to make up for the loss of income. Steve provided for both he and Kim as well as their youngest son.
Steve is recovering from the immediate crisis, but faces a long road of rehabilitation before he will be able to contemplate returning to work of any kind. In the meantime, bills are mounting and Kimberly is struggling to make ends meet. Like many of us, their savings were minimal and are already mostly depleted. She is unsure how she will pay the bills and provide food in the coming months.
We are asking for help for Steve, Kim, and their family through the next 6-12 months of Steve's recovery so they can keep food on the table, keep the utilities on, pay the mortgage on their home 25 years, and keep up with the mounting medical costs and copays.
Steve has been a great friend to me personally for over 30 years. Please help us provide support for he and Kim and their family in this time of need.
