Steve Ramm’s Recovery Updates
Steve was riding his bike to work from Kings Beach to Tahoe City. As he was riding down dollar hill at the intersection of Old Mill he was hit by a car that was making a left hand turn. He was helivac transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.
Upon arrival to the ICU an emergency neurosurgery removed a hematoma, and section of his skull to relieve pressure.
Steve was admitted to the Renown ICU with an extensive brain trauma, broken right femur, dislocated & badly broken left shoulder, fracture in his C1 vertebrae, and extensive fractures to his face/jaw. He sustained these extensive head injuries even though he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
His family, including his wife, daughter, son, and daughter in law rushed to his side and were able to be with him starting Tuesday evening.
This page hoping to help alleviate some of the financial stress for Steve and his family as they navigate the long recovery process. This includes time missed from work, hotel and lodging costs, and medical expenses.
Thank you for any contribution you may be able to give.
