Running in loving memory of Steve Orme
Donation protected
Next year, I’ll be running an ultra marathon - 55km and the training has already begun! The official race charity partner is Cancer Research UK which is a charity very close to all of our hearts especially given this year’s events.
Last Friday, we lost a wonderful person to this cruel disease, Steve Orme, my father in law. Due to a complication in his treatment which was supposed to make him better, he was admitted to hospital unexpectedly and was tragically taken away from us suddenly. The family are devastated at a life taken too soon. Although running 55km may seem like a torture task for some… I feel lucky that I am fit and healthy enough to be able to do this and want to make sure that I run for a cause.
I am going to be training and running this ultramarathon in loving memory of Steve Orme.
The race isn’t until June next year but I have decided to start fundraising now. Any contributions will be donated to Steve’s family during this difficult time to be used to celebrate Steve’s life whether this is through a charitable donation or to help create a meaningful memorial befitting the wonderful person he was.
Any support, whether financial or emotional, is deeply appreciated during this difficult time. I will post regularly on my running progress up until the race event in June in memory of Steve. Thank you for being a part of honouring his legacy
