Steve Lee's Fundraiser

Steve Lee is a dear friend to many and beloved guard at Deer Ridge Estates in Kingwood, Texas. He has served the community for well over a decade and is very loyal to those he serves very rarely even asking for a day off. Steve is one of the happiest men most have ever met! He always has a smile on his face and greets every resident, guest and contractor with a warm welcome and is always happy to offer help.

Steve recently had a biopsy and was diagnosed with an aggressive lip cancer. As you can tell from the picture here, a significant part of his lip and chin areas have been affected and will have to be surgically removed and reconstructed. He has been referred to a specialist in the Texas Medical Center in Houston that will coordinate his treatment plan. Following the surgical resection and reconstruction, it is expected that Steve will have to stay in the hospital for several days. He may also require post-surgical radiation or chemotherapy as well. The security company that Steve is employed by has extremely limited insurance benefits. It doesn't cover doctor's visits and has very limited inpatient hospital coverage.  It is expected that his medical costs will be in excess of $80,000 not including the lost income from his inability to work during the time he is being treated. Steve is not one to ever ask for help for anything and had to be reassured multiple times that the people he serves here in Deer Ridge Estates would by honored to help him and would also want to share his story with their family and friends.  Please prayerfully consider helping Steve have the ability to get proper treatment for this aggressive cancer. He will see the specialist this week so we need to act quickly. The financial burden will be tremendous to move forward with any treatment at all so please be as generous as possible. Regardless, every donation large and small is greatly appreciate.
