Help Needed for Our Friend Harry Aderholt

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to reach out about a dear friend of mine, Steve Aderholt, whom I’ve had the privilege of knowing since 2007. We met while working together on a commercial building project here in San Antonio, where Steve was my journeyman in the electrical trade. Over the years, we’ve maintained a strong friendship, and I can honestly say that Steve is one of the most genuine and hardworking people I know.

Recently, Steve has encountered some incredibly difficult circumstances that have left him in a tough position. Just last month, he confided in me about some issues he was facing regarding his housing situation. With the assistance of a mutual friend, I helped delay the eviction process for him, hoping to buy him some time to get back on his feet. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the legal process dragged on, and early this morning, a writ of eviction was served at his door.

In a matter of moments, Steve found himself outside without access to his medication, glasses, and other essential belongings, which were packed up carelessly by the movers. This situation is especially heartbreaking because Steve has been trying to save his home after facing financial difficulties stemming from health issues, including knee surgeries that put him in a precarious situation.

Compounding these challenges, Steve fell victim to unscrupulous investors who promised him a way out but instead signed his home away and sold it to other investors mere months later, leaving him homeless. As someone who originally hails from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Steve is now without family or a support system here in San Antonio.

I sincerely ask for your support during this vulnerable time for Steve. Any contributions, whether financial or in the form of resources to help him secure temporary housing, would make a significant difference in his life. Our goal is to assist him in getting back to a stable situation and exploring the possibility of reclaiming his home while the legal proceedings unfold.
