Our beloved friend and champion of entrepreneurship in Northeast Indiana, Steve Franks, has had a terrible fall and needs our help. Steve has broken both elbows and one knee, as well as suffering many other bruises and scrapes.
After a stay at Parkview, he was transferred to Lutheran Life Villages for healing and rehabilitation. He cannot use his arms at all right now, or walk.
Helping entrepreneurs is such fulfilling work, though not terribly lucrative. Please help Steve however you can.
Medical bills are being estimated as follows:
Hospital Stay: $1,400
Surgery: $10,000
Nursing Home: $14,080
Home Health Care: $8,000
Living Expenses During Hospitalization, Nursing Home Stay, and Recovery: $16,520
TOTAL: $50,000
We are estimating a bit on the high side to be sure that Steve is covered. His wish is that if we exceed his needs, that any additional funds be donated to a care facility, as he has been a firsthand witness to how short-staffed and over-worked they are.
Funds are needed right away, with further opportunities to support Steve with things like meals, lawn mowing, snow removal, etc. once he is home, which could be quite some time from now given the extent of his injuries.
