Steve Frank is one of our gallery family at Master's Editions in East Tennessee.
This fun-loving, disc golf playing, slightly goofy but really sweet guy is in need.
He lost his apartment and everything he owned in the Gatlinburg wildfire. We want to help him get back on his feet so we are raising money that he can use to purchase food, clothes, basic necessities, find a new apartment, etc.
During the fire...
"When I was in Gatlinburg during the fires, I was experiencing hurricane force winds and up to 5 inch burning embers flying by me. I had to expose my hair to it to protect my eyes. So much ash. I had just got back from Knoxville. You couldn't see headlights past 200 feet. Everybody that lived at my apt buildings were inside their apartments. I started pounding on doors. My place was full of smoke. I grabbed my dirty laundry and ran for my van with 2 people that didn't have cars."
Now...
"Hi everybody. 48 hours since it got serious for me. It's been an emotional roller coaster for me. 4 hours sleep in that time. Today, I found out more friends lost houses. Some lost pets. Everybody in my apartments have lost their living space. Some have lost jobs, too. Today, I had 2 friends visit and hug me. TY So much. I have lost some stuff. I care for my friends. I want to help others. I have read a lot of King Arthur. I believe in Chivalry... protecting others--especially women and children. I have gained so much. I've been overwhelmed by my phone and the outpouring of love and support as well as the awesome things people have said about me--people that I've known for years and people I've never met face to face. I would be more comfortable helping somebody else. I've shed so many tears. When I look back on this, I will mainly remember what so many people have done for me. I'm not talking money. I'm talking about caring. People from near and far."
