Steve Fiala's Stroke Recovery

Hey, Everyone who loves The Fiala Family!

On Saturday, June 1st at 4 am, Steve suffered a stroke. He is currently experiencing weakness on his right side, affecting his arm and leg, as well as some slurred speech. Steve is currently in the hospital. Obviously, this is very early on in his recovery process, but with so many unknowns at this time, like hospital stay, rehab, and not knowing when he will be able to return to work, let's take some of the financial burdens off of Jill and the girls. No amount is too small or too big! Any donation is greatly appreciated.

6/3 Update from Jill:

Steve is sitting up in the chair eating breakfast this morning. Yesterday he stayed up in the chair from 7am - 9pm!

He was able to walk 3 steps with PT yesterday!

As of this morning, we are seeing some returned strength in his legs. He was able to lift his arm around 4 am this morning - which, if you’ve been following is when the stroke occurred. We’re praising God for that wink of encouragement.

He is still 100% cognitively intact, and his infectious smile and laugh that we all love is still there! We should find out later this morning about when he’ll transfer to rehab.
