Steve was injured November 19, 2023 in a deer hunting accident. The tree he was hunting from uprooted and fell with him in it. Since the accident he has been in the Trauma Unit at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Steve had surgery on 11/19 to repair the broken bones in his left leg. A second surgery is upcoming to repair and reconstruct his left ankle. Additional surgeries may be required for both the leg and ankle.

Steve has 3 broken ribs and some additional abdominal trauma. This is causing breathing problems and considerable pain. Pain management continues to be a struggle.

Steve and his family will be facing many unknown situations as Steve heals. His recovery will be many months, at a minimum. This fundraiser hopes to help offset their financial burden.
