My name is Athena and I am fundraising for the Eckert family. As many of you know there was a residential house fire in the David Ann neighborhood in Santee off the 67 & Woodside, last Monday, October 23rd, that displaced a 3 generation family of longtime Santee residents.

The grandsons are taking care of the grandma at a nearby motel. This monday they are now faced with the daunting task of planning for the unpaid final expenses of her son, the father of the same young men taking caring for her now. The father/son, was the primary household breadwinner. After a short battle with an aggressive disease he was diagnosed with just a few short months ago he has passed within a week of this extensive housefire. The Matriarch of the Eckert"s has raised 3 generations of family in this home for the past 60 years.

Our goal is to help this struggling family pay the unpaid final expenses so they can lay to rest their beloved Son, Father, Brother and Uncle they also try to recover from the added devastation of a housefire in the same week.
