Steve Durst Memorial Pavilion
Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are setting up a fund to help bring to life a dream that my late father-in-law Stephen Durst had of building a pavilion at the Fellowship of Wildwood church.
Last month, we sadly lost Steve to lung cancer. He was a fighter and battled a number of setbacks over the month of May before passing peacefully on Thursday, May 27th.
Employed as a groundskeeper for over 10 years at Ellisville First Baptist and Fellowship of Wildwood, Steve also operated his own landscaping business for over 35 years, sharing his love of God's natural creation with everyone he encountered. Steve loved talking to any and all about flowers and landscaping, as it was not only his job, but his hobby.
Steve is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lisa. When I mentioned the idea of raising some money to help with after-death costs, she immediately said it should instead go towards the pavilion project that Steve always talked about. This seemed like a perfect way to keep his memory alive and in doing so leave yet another beautiful mark on the grounds that he built and tended to for so many years.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and look forward to breaking ground on this project in the near future!
