Steve Donofrio Memorial and Family Support
Donation protected
Hi, My name is (Roger) Scott Brown. I have been friends with the Donofrio family all of my adult life. Steve was like a big brother to me. Steve passed away on November 25th, 2022 unexpectedly. He leaves behind a career stay at home mom/wife and a 23 year old son. Heidi and Malachi are devastated by the tragic loss of their husband/father.
Steve was a giver to the community and to his friends and family. A Gulf war combat veteran, he served his country with pride. He continued that service with Military Community Youth Ministries as a staff member at Fort Hood, Texas, which is where I met Steve and Heidi. I worked with him at MCYM, leading teenagers to Christ on Fort Hood and in Killeen, Texas.
Later in his ministry career, Steve relocated Heidi all the way to Japan where he continued ministry to teens and their families for 15 years, providing much of his own support by working in Japan. While there, Malachi was born and became a huge part of Steve’s life.
Returning stateside, he moved into entrepreneurship, becoming a life coach and motivational speaker.
Steve had a way with the younger generation that not many master. His words and the way he spoke touched the lives of so many.
Heidi works part time now that Malachi has left home, however, she wont be eligible for Steve's Social Security until she is 60. Funds raised here will assist in the memorial, currently planned for January 5th, 2023 - Steve's Birthday. It will also assist with immediate living expenses.
Please give from the heart in this time of Thanksgiving and the Holiday spirit of Christmas.
