Steve DeMeyer fundraiser

Hi Everyone! My name is Joelle Moss and I am setting up this gofundme account with the permission of Steve DeMeyer’s daughter, Stephenie. Sadly, last week, the world lost an amazing man and the epitome of what a volunteer looks like.

For anyone who has dipped their toe into the local sport of softball, you more than likely know who Steve was. He was a coach and an umpire. On any given day in the past 20 plus years, you would find him at Columbia Playfields, training, mentoring or just chatting with anyone and everyone. He spent countless hours, mostly on his own time, sharing his knowledge and really just being there for 1000’s of local softball players and up and coming umpires. He was a true advocate for the sport! He is truly going to be missed.

The reason for this gofundme is to put Steve’s wife mind at ease while having to walk the unexpected path of changes to social security, a pension and everything else that needs to take place when a spouse dies.

if you are able to help, that would be great. Last that I heard was that a celebration of life would happen when the weather is warmer.
