To many he is known as coach and mentor - to us he is a wonderful father and husband, devoted and adoring grandfather, and a truly amazing friend.
Steve was diagnosed with glioblastoma in December 2016. He has responded to surgeries and treatments with incredible positivity and determination, continuing to be an inspiration to all around him. But the cancer is becoming aggressive, unresponsive and difficult to treat.
Due to a series of falls and weakening of one side of his body, Steve was recently transferred to a long term care facility where he will receive the around-the-clock, skilled medical care that he needs to be comfortable, safe and content.
Steve has always been known to be fiercely loyal, caring and generous. He has given so much to all of us and has made an impact on each of our lives. Our goal is raise enough money to ease the financial restraints to allow Steve to continue to fight this battle in comfort, enjoying time with his family and friends.
Any donations (in care of Steve's son, Tom D'Arcy) received will be used to help pay for medical bills currently accumulating and any other needs that Steve may have. The stress of the situation is enough on its own, so we are grateful for any help you can provide.
