Steve Cooke, the Anchorians U13 Archers Assistant Manager, passed away on Boxing Day from Covid 19.  Steve was 35 and leaves behind his partner, Katie, and four young children. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family at this time.

Steve was a kind and generous person, giving up his time to support the team over the past six years, always with a smile on his face. Steve has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everyone can play football in a fun, friendly environment. He would be at the club four times a week and texting the team coaches' group chat daily with new ideas and suggestions. Steve would be at every training session and match, even if his son couldn’t attend, showing what a true grassroots hero he was. Steve is a big part of the Anchorians Archers and will be dearly missed by all at the Football Club.

As a club we would like to support the family both emotionally and financially. This memorial fund will be used solely by the family and will go a long way towards funeral expenses or perhaps setting up a savings account for the children.
