Steve Carroll Cancer Fund
Donation protected
In all honesty I haven’t seen Steve Carroll since our 10 year reunion. But I hope to see him SOON.
Today I realized that I’ve done an awful job of administrating this GoFundMe page.
For one, these donations may be made confidentially, and it’s not necessary to be a HUGE donor to play a HUGE part in this…tragedy.
And I love all of you, and I’ll be honest with you, this is more tragic than you may have imagined. It makes me angry with God, and then I realize I’m just His messenger. I’ve argued with Him before and He’s always right, despite my most logic-driven passion. I’m only human, but wise enough now to know I’m wasting my time with the “Why Steve, God?” (In my mind His voice booms “I need Steve to help me, to show everyone his courage, to inspire everyone to see your doctors regularly and get the testing done. Any other questions?” Eh no, that’ll be all.
Realizing the state of the country and the strain on businesses, plus the 400% increase in staple items, I’ll not ramble on any longer, but I’m challenging EVERYONE (except those who’ve already given) to donate $5 this week to the Steve Carroll Cancer Fund. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Scott, we used to go to the drive-in and have a basket of tater tots at the D&L for $5.” And I hear you, but we need your help.
Steve, as well as his sister Cathy, haven’t been able to comprehend the amount of generosity the community has created. And they told me, “Scott, don’t be browbeating our old friends, neighbors, teachers & coaches because they’ve been there for us”.
I’m just afraid they’re underestimating Steve’s present condition. Do not be afraid, this is hard for me.
If we could get 500 ppl to JUST throw in $5, we’d be over halfway to our goal. If you’ve read this far, God Bless you, indeed. ♥️
