We are heartbroken to share that our father, Steve Canchola, passed away on April 27, 2025. A man of strength and relentless dedication, he taught us the value of hard work–not through words–but by example. Whether he was clocking in long hours to support his family or helping a friend. Without hesitation, he gave 110% to everything he did.

But beyond his work ethic, what made Dad truly unforgettable was his sense of humor and warmth. He had a quote for every moment, usually borrowed from one of his favorite old movies. From classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory to Wall Street and Jim Carey comedies, he’d always find a line to make us smile and bring fun to any situation. And if Neil Diamond was playing, you could count on him to sing along loudly and off-key, but with all his heart.

As we grieve his loss, we’re also faced with the financial weight of laying him to rest in a way that reflects the love and respect he gave so freely. We’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of his funeral, burial, and other unexpected expenses that have come with this sudden loss.
