My friend & colleague, Steve Bridwell (DPT), was in the Army during 9-11. As a 20 yr old, he was part of the massive task to protect & clean up downtown Manhattan. Toxic dust & asbestos was inhaled every day for months.  A few years ago, Steve noticed a lump in his shoulder, and it turned out to be a tumor. It was removed and he moved on.  In March 2021 a tumor was removed from his axillary lymph node. Now this became a more serious matter as the cancer was deemed metastatic. Steve was out of work for about 3 months undergoing treatment. Then in early April 2022, Steve was taken to the ER.  A tumor the size of a golf ball and (3) others were found in his brain.  After 2 invasive surgeries, these were removed but months of therapies are now needed. Steve cannot work or drive for months until medically cleared. The medical bills have been piling up on Steve for the past 2 years.  He had applied for the 9-11 Victim Fund years ago upon the 1st sign of cancer but has not seen a dime.  Steve, as physical therapist for the past 12 years, has had a calling to help others.  Now he is in need of others to call upon him.
