Dear Cowboy Racing Family and Friends, As we process the loss of our dear friend Steve, we are launching an urgent fundraiser to acquire life-saving Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices for our organizations in Steve's honor.
This fundraiser is dedicated to our dear friend, Speedy Steve Barrett, whom we recently lost at our UHCA Cowboy Racing event. Steve's fun-loving spirit and compassion for his fellow competitors inspire us to enhance our emergency preparedness and protect the well-being of everyone involved.
We aim to raise enough funds to purchase at least 3 AED devices: one for the Ultimate Horesemens Challenge Association, one for the Southern Obstacle Challenge Association, and one for KenInTen Extreme Racing. This will allow each organization to have an AED Device available at our events. We aim to raise funds quickly enough to have a device at the EXCA National Championship event in June, where the UHCA will host training for anyone interested in learning more about using an AED.
Your generous contributions will directly impact our ability to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies and honor Steve's memory by ensuring the safety of our community.
How You Can Help:
- Please donate any amount you can to our AED fundraiser. (If you wish to send a check, please make it out to UHCA and mail it to 603 Ripley Court, Raymore, MO, 64083.)
- Share this fundraiser with your friends, family, and colleagues to spread awareness and support.
- Encourage local businesses or sponsors to contribute towards our life-saving cause.
Together, we can make a significant difference and ensure a safer environment for everyone involved in our organizations. Let's unite to save lives and honor Steve's enduring legacy!
AEDs are crucial in emergencies as they can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Here are some key facts on why AEDs are essential:
Immediate Response: AEDs are designed for quick and easy use by anyone, providing vital assistance until professional medical help arrives.
Critical Minutes: Every minute counts during a cardiac emergency. Having an AED on-site can make a life-saving difference in those crucial moments.
Accessibility: By placing AEDs within our organizations, we ensure swift access in case of an emergency, potentially saving lives within our community.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and dedication to ensuring the safety of those around us.
Warm regards,
The Ultimate Horesemens Challenge Association
