Steve Barnett's Medical Fund

When Steven was just 8 years old he was diagnosed with Leukemia, he was 70% full of cancer.  With skillful doctors and many prayers Steve went into remission and stayed they for 20 years until a couple weeks ago.  Steve went to see a foot doctor because he was having some foot pain, after many tests and doctor visits they diagnosed him with Ewing's Sarcoma Cancer.  It is a very rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in your bones or the soft tissue around the bones such as cartilage or nerves.  The oncologist said that typically it will affect  people ages 10 to 20 and at that is rare.  Being that Steve is 28 makes is even more rare. 

Steve has started Chemo as of last Friday, with each Chemo session he has to have he will  be hospitalized.  
It is a very intense and expensive treatment.  It takes the hospital 5 hours after Steve arrives just to make the Chemo.  He then gets the Chemo for 3 hours, a rescue drug for his kidneys and then a 24 hour Chemo.   He will do this for 3 months then they will have to determine if they will amputate part of his foot or the whole foot.  Then Steve will have 3 more months of this rigorous Chemo treatment.

Steve and his family is devastated and is asking for help with medical costs and everything that comes with this horrible thing called cancer.  Steve only has so much insurance and just one of his pills are $10,000.  He has been off work already for weeks and will be off during his treatment.  Steve has such wonderful things in his life, the girl of his dreams Dezerae, a handsome two year old son, Isaac and a baby girl arriving in November.  We are all hopeful and optimistic that with Faith and Hope that God will give Steve another chance in life as He did when Steve battled cancer at such a young age. 

Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of this.  For the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.
