Hey everybody!
As many of you already know, my dad, Steve Lee has been battling Parkinson’s disease since 1994. Most recently, Dad went through a major spinal reconstruction surgery to fix his scoliosis. After the procedure, he was kept in the hospital for several weeks due to severe hallucinations, forgetfulness, pain, etc. Fast forward to now, Dad is back home with Mom, making SOME progress, basically zero physical therapy due to poor blood pressure and no strength yet from the waist down. A lot of times he doesn’t know any of us. Although, if you know Dad, he’s still pretty good and his sports days memory ;) Mom, being in her 60’s is watching him, lifting him, feeding him, etc 15 hrs/day. In the evenings, she has a sitter come in so she can get a little rest.
This sitter, which is an absolute MUST, is around $600+/WEEK!! We are praying healing over dads life, whether it happens immediately, or in 6 months, we believe it’s on its way and God is already in the works!
It’s getting very expensive for her and I believe now is the right time to do something substantial for her and my dad. To all of you who have already privately donated to help Mom out, whether time or money, WE THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!!!
I don’t know if your part is $5, or $1,000, or a prayer ... but I pray that, not only will this financial goal be met, but the Lord will do something SPECTACULAR through this fund for my parents!!!
