Steve and Leanna’s New Beginning

Hello Friends,

Steve and Leanna’s family are reaching out for the newly wed couple. We are fundraising to hopefully show them some light on their first day as a married couple.

As Leanna put it in her tearful call to me “ I think our worst nightmare just happened and our car was broken into, someone rummaged through all our stuff and stole ALL our wedding cards and ruined presents.” Someone had broken into their car in the hour between going to the car to bring stuff out to it and going back to it after breakfast.

As her older sister this is not how your first call from the new bride is supposed to start. Your first morning as a married couple is not supposed to start in tears because of horrible people. My heart sank for her because I could tell in her voice it wasn’t about the money it was more the fact that all her loved ones, her closest friends and family, gave cards with written heart felt words. She won’t be able to read those words or replace the kindness that was given. 

So as her family we wanted to start this page just for a short time to gather together and at least try to brighten the couple’s days ahead and wipe away a few of those tears.

Again thank you all for being amazing friends and family to the couple and I hope this lessens some of the disappointment for them starting their new journey.
