Dag lezer,

Op 5 maart 2025 is er een weg uitgestippeld voor Wissam waar hij geen keus in had. Na heel wat onderzoeken kwam de diagnose in het UZ Gent: maagkanker.

Intussen dwarrelt de tijd verder over het pad en kreeg Wissam te horen dat er uitzaaiingen zijn.

Er zijn meer vragen dan antwoorden. Onzekerheid legt een heel donkere schaduw over de vraag hoe zijn leven verder vorm zal krijgen.

Omdat we ook vooruit willen en moeten kijken wil ik Wissam de kans geven om langs zijn pad nog zoveel mogelijk kersen te kunnen plukken.

De komende tijd brengt veel onzekerheid in het traject dat nog te bewandelen valt. We kunnen daarom allen helpen om de financiële zorgen en beperkingen die dit verhaal voortbrengt tot een minimum te herleiden.

Wissam wil nog mooie, grote reizen maken. Het enige waar hij aan zou moeten denken is wanneer en waarheen.

Geen financiële zorgen, geen financiële vragen.

Aan Wissam om uit te kiezen wat hij wil doen met zijn financiële buffer, hij verdient gewoon de mooiste avonturen en herinneringen in het leven.

Dear reader,

On March 5, 2025, a path was laid out for Wissam — one he never had a choice in.

After numerous medical examinations, the diagnosis was made at UZ Ghent: stomach cancer.

As time continues to move forward, Wissam was later told that the cancer has spread.

There are more questions than answers. Uncertainty casts a very dark shadow over how his life will take shape from here.

Because we want — and need — to keep looking ahead, I want to give Wissam the chance to keep picking as many cherries as possible along his path.

The coming period brings a great deal of uncertainty about the road still to be travelled. Together, we can help reduce the financial worries and limitations this journey brings to a minimum.

Wissam still wants to make beautiful, big trips.

The only things he should have to think about are when and where to.

No financial stress. No financial questions.

It is entirely up to Wissam to decide what he wants to do with his financial buffer — he simply deserves the most beautiful adventures and memories life has to offer.
