On July 7th 2016, Sterling Kingsley Bowens died unexpectedly at the young age of 19, leaving his family and friends devastated. Sterling was a brilliant young man with a promising future, studying biochemistry at Fairleigh Dickinson University on a full scholarship. He had an infectious smile and a twinkle in his eye. There was a quiet, wry wit about Sterling that conveyed his keen observations about the world and gave a new twist to your perspectives with respect to both the mundane and obscure. He was loving, and loyal and almost too sensitive for this world.
Sterling is survived by his mother, Vanessa, older sister, Kayla, younger brother Kristian. He also leaves behind half-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who adored him. The world, especially ours, will be less bright without him in it.
Sadly, Sterling’s untimely passing is the worst possible culmination of a series of traumatic and unfortunate events that have plagued this family for several years now, and with this very unexpected loss comes unexpected expenses. We are creating this page on behalf of Sterling’s mother to ask for help with the financial burdens associated with his untimely death. Monies collected will go towards the cost of final expenses. Any money raised in excess of these expenses will be used to afford Vanessa some time away from work to grieve and come to grips with this new reality with her other two children (his siblings) who remain in the home. Any money donated will be handled by Vanessa's sister (Debbie) who is helping her make the arrangements. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Even if you can't donate monetarily, donating your time by sharing the page would be helpful.
