My name is Lauren Evans. I am a mom to a Sterling Elementary Fifth Grader. Every year, the parents of the Fifth Grade class throw an end-of-the-year picnic for the Fifth Graders, as it's their last year of Elementary school.

As some of you may know, Sterling Elementary is a Title I school and therefore has very little funding to work with. Last week, I attended a meeting at the school that was supposed to provide information to the parents interested in throwing the event for the kids. 

Activities we’re trying to plan:

-Dunk Tank

-DJ

-T-Shirt signing

-Photo Booth

-Games

These kids have been through a lot, especially in the last few years, and they deserve an excellent graduation picnic. At this time we will not be receiving funding from the school, so it is up to us to make this a fun event that the kids can remember forever.
