Taking Steps for Spencer

Donation protected
Spencer Stafford was riding his motorcycle on state road 8 in Auburn, IN on Sunday August 12th when he was struck by a vehicle that failed to yield (Spencer was not at fault). Spencer mainly sustained injuries to his right leg and ended up having to have most of his leg  below the knee and foot amputated.  Spencer has two twin boys who turn 4 on August 27th. He will not be able to return to work for some time. His most recent position was at Adventure Homes in Garrett, but his prior job was working as a manager at Serenity House in Auburn. He is a man of faith and spends his free time altruistically mentoring men in recovery from drugs and alcohol, playing softball and volleyball, and  raising two of the cutest twins you will ever meet. Spencer has been a blessing to our community and will continue to be, but its our turn to show him how grateful we are for his service and love to us all.

Spencer had surgery Sunday after the wreck, Monday afternoon, and he plans to have, hopefully, his last operation today. They are still trying to close his leg, so please  pray that the surgery goes well.
