These steps are for my mum, and every heartbeat yet to come.

Hi my names Hannah, as most of you may know, my mummy, Sinéad, was diagnosed with a heart condition and underwent surgery in December 2025. This was an incredibly scary time for our family. Although the surgery has slightly reduced her risk, she will live with this condition for the rest of her life.

Despite everything she has been through, she continues to stay strong and resilient every single day and makes me and our family incredibly proud.

For the next 6 weeks, I have decided to walk 50 miles to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The heart beats roughly 100,000 times a day, and 100,000 steps is around 50 miles — every step I take is for her.
