Steps for Bruno

Hi, Caroline and Danny here and we are fundraising for our little fur baby miniature yorkie Bruno.

On Friday the 13th in Tralee, Bruno and I took a visit to Mcgraths Vets Tralee for a check up. As we left McGrath’s and went across to the multistorey car park, we entered the lift together with Bruno walking beside me on lead. I pressed the fourth floor button. Just as the elevator doors were closing, Bruno became spooked and ran back out the doors leaving me inside and him outside and horrifically the doors closed and the lift continue to move upwards. As a result Bruno was lifted from the ground up to the top of the doors of the elevator until the lead snapped and he was dropped from a height landing with force on his back legs.

His little legs are now paralysed. We are absolutely traumatised and devastated at what he has been through and are working closely with Mcgraths Vets and the team at Blackpool veterinary Hospital to try and support his recovery.

As a family with four little dogs , We have had significant costs this year as our little Lola had a major operation to have her gallbladder removed which was absolutely necessary for her wellbeing but also meant we had to pay thousands in vet bills to help her which we would do for any of our little babies. This placed a big financial challenge to us which we have been battling with since,

following yesterdays horrific incident, we know that as hard as it is for us, we need to ask for help to our community friends and families to support the financial challenges we are now faced with supporting our little Bruno, saving his life and helping him to walk again. We would be so grateful for any donation towards his care and recovery at this critical time. We are only at investigation stage and already the bills are approximately €1800 for all of the tests and care and hospitalisation he is undergoing.

We want to be able to give him the best care and have him returned to us for Christmas but need the funds to cover all of his bills and future care.
