Steps for Breasts

This year for Andy’s 36th birthday he would like to run the memorial curling club stairs 36 times in support of a very special friend who is currently battling Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. For the sake of anonymity and respect of her privacy we will call her Jane. Jane is a 33 year old Registered Nurse and most importantly a Wife and Mother to two little boys. After being previously diagnosed with a lesser stage of breast cancer a year ago, it has unfortunately progressed and is now terminal. Jane will undergo chemotherapy until it ultimately stops working. The life expectancy of an individual with metastatic breast cancer is 5 years or less. Jane is humble, kind and selfless and would never accept a monetary donation if she knew about it. Therefore, Andy would like to raise money for her and her family to use towards supporting her family through this difficult time. The money will help to support her children and husband and to make the last of their time together count.

Not only is it important for both Andy and myself to support Jane, it’s equally as important to raise awareness about Metastatic breast cancer and it’s impact on so many women 40 and younger. This fundraiser will help an amazing person in need, raise awareness and is a toast to Nicole’s friend @pinkcancergirl / Shaylas Army.
