Stepping Stones of Rockford is a not-for-profit mental health agency providing residential rehabilitation services for those with chronic mental illness. We've been around since 1969. Stepping Stones currently serve about 150 persons with chronic mental illness.

Although we as an agency are incredibly fiscally responsible, we are facing some pretty tough times. When the need for a new roof at one of our group homes surfaced during the State budget crisis, we realized we'd have to raise money--raise the roof, so to speak.

The  estimate for a new roof is $20,000. That's a pretty big chunk of change but we have dedication and drive to find the funds to make that happen!

A new roof is not exactly a glamorous project. But, to the eight guys living at the site, a new roof is amazingly glamourous and desperately needed! It's their home.

Your funding will go directly to that new roof. Obviously, the sooner they get a new roof, the better. Inclement weather is supposed to remain outside, not inside!

The clients at Stepping Stones are amazing. Trying to raise funds for these eight great guys in this group home is truly an honor.  We hope you will join us in this effort to fund a new roof.
