Stephy's Heart Transplant

Donation protected
Steph had learned about her heart defect at the age of 5. At the age of 14, she had her first heart attack. Her mother, Angie, had to perform the CPR that saved her life. Since then, Steph's heart has deteriorated to the point of needing a pacemaker. While this has been happenening, her condition was never bad enough to put her on the transplant list. Steph has been able to represent the American Heart Association as a spokesperson in the Ozarks. At the age of 19 (present time), Steph was put on the heart transplant list. Within a couple of weeks, she recieved the call saying that the doctors had found a match for her heart. Stephanie was so excited!

The transplant did not take as planned and the new heart has needed additional help for 3+ days after the surgery. Though things are looking up with this process, Steph and her family are expected to continue to be in the hospital for 3-6 weeks after things are working as planned. Although they do have insurance, the astronomical financial impact for their part cannot even be calculated yet. Steph's parents are now paying for food, travel, hotels, and will have to cover future noncovered medical expenses. The family would never ask for financial assistance, but we as close family, would like to ease their stress and ask for any monitary donations that you are able to provide to this family. We continually ask for prayers over Steph as her heart journey continues on. If you are not able to donate money, we would appreciate it if you would pass this request on to anyone you may know.
