As many of you know our friend, sister, daughter, cousin and co-worker, Stephanie, has been bedridden with a rare syndrome related to breast cancer. Paraneoplastic Syndrome is the diagnosis and, in Stephanie’s case, will require a long road of recovery and rehabilitation.

Stephanie was admitted to the hospital in mid-May. She has had 2 major surgeries and too many tests and procedures to count. The syndrome has affected her neurologically and is hindering her speech, ability to swallow, and her strength to sit up or stand. Although she has many obstacles to overcome, she has been improving and is determined to get better.

Steph’s husband, Dave, her mom, sisters and aunts have been going above and beyond to keep Stephanie’s recovery moving forward and doing their best to keep her spirits up.

Although she has great insurance and a very supportive group surrounding her, we know the costs will be adding up and the house will need to be altered to make her comfortable at home, when she gets there.

We know many of you have asked how you can help and think this fund will be the easiest and most beneficial to Steph and her family.
