Steph’s Fight With Breast Cancer

If you’re reading this then you know that I am currently going through chemotherapy treatment for Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

I was diagnosed on August 6th 2024 and had to stop working a the same time. I am undergoing 6+ months of Chemotherapy followed by Surgery and Radiotherapy, so I am looking at being in treatment and out of work until early 2025.

The financial stress on a person going through a life changing illness is not talked about enough. The benefits put in place by the government are not enough to comfortably support a person that is out of work due to illness and sometimes, these benefits are even declined to people that really need them, such as myself.
